A narrow escape, alleluia!

A narrow escape, alleluia!

The Régie du logement has recently rejected a request by which a tenant demanded access to a housing.

In this case, the owner signed a lease by adding the conditional statement that the results of a credit check should be positive. It should be noted right away that we do not recommend to proceed in this way, the risk and complications are much too high.

The evaluation of the tenant, a 360º evaluation of the APQ, has allowed to uncover the fact that the tenant had declared bankruptcy and was still not released yet.

The tenant brought before the Régie du logement a request to obtain access to the housing, which was denied because she was not yet discharged from bankruptcy.

This time the owner had a narrow escape! However, we recommend that you rather do your 360º evaluation of the APQ before having the lease signed. That risk is not worth the trouble.
