Exceptional visibility to support the cause of the owners

Each time we approach July the 1st, journalists turn their attention to the cause of the owners.
It is a time that allows us to put forward the problems experienced by owners and the inconsistencies in the law.

The Association of Quebec Landlords (APQ) has been extremely active and its visibility in the media has been buoyant. It is thanks to our demands and media coverage of problems that we can change the law.

The APQ was present in many TVA and LCN programs, in the CBC-Radio-Canada newscast, and in several newspapers.
Here is a non-exhaustive list of the media in which we appeared:

- 24h Journal
- Canal Argent
- Canoe.ca
- Journal de Québec
- Journal de Montréal
- La Presse
- Le Devoir
- The Gazette
- Journal Métro
- TC Outaouais
- Radio X (morning, afternoon)
- 106.9 FM, The Canadian Press
- Radio 104.7 FM Gatineau
- Studio CJLD (Radio Laval) on 29/06 from 16h30 till 17h00.

Thanks to the actions implemented by the APQ, the plight of the owners was highlighted.

May many of you support our claims, and our actions, so that one day the APQ will represent the owners at the Committee on Planning and the Public Domain to support a new bill that reflects the reality of the owners.

So that the cause of the owners will finally be heard, not only by the media but also by the governments so that things are changing, continue to be active throughout the year with us!

VIEW our awareness capsule: To demonstrate the ridiculous situations that live everyday owners of rental housing in Québec, the APQ releases its 1st video-capsule on the theme of clause G in the lease that requires that the tenant be informed about the lowest rent paid in the last 12 months.

“Asking that the famous clause G of the lease, about disclosing the amount of the current rent would not be highlighted and put forward is simply not enough. It is the law that must be addressed!
Overprotecting the tenant who is in the housing is already bad for a real-estate park but not to allow the owner to release his housing at market price or still, to get along well in good faith with his new tenant, as in other countries, is simply absurd.”

You can find this capsule at the following address: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0k7UFAcMYYo&feature=youtu.be

It is by standing together that we can change things. We must show the Government that these are not isolated cases but a sad reality that is harmful to everyone.
