2.3% rent increase this year? NO, each owner must make his own calculation

Each year the Administrative Housing Tribunal (TAL) issues rates for heated and unheated housing, and it is by announcing these rates that tenants and owners move away from the true method of calculating the rent.

Indeed, these rates are only suggestions and not reflecting reality!

The APQ can never repeat it enough: DO YOUR CALCULATIONS! Do not rely on these estimates announced by the TAL because you could lose an amount of money to which you are entitled.

Moreover, in 2017, the TAL had removed these estimates from their 2017 rate announcement. The APQ was satisfied because tenants, supported in their idea by tenant associations, relied only on these rates, while tenants do not have on hand the bills, maintenance costs incurred, and tax bills paid. However, these estimates reappeared a few days later.
