Home-owners of Quebec still have the urge for renovation, now more than ever before

Year after year, Quebec home-owners are ever more keen and intending to renovate and 67 % among them will thus use the hammer during the next twelve months in order to ameliorate their life environment.

A poll done by the Royal Bank of Canada tells us that, on average, Quebec home-owners expect to spend 8 463 $ per household on their renovations.

In Quebec, landlords who have the intention to renovate will direct their efforts to the bathroom and the kitchen.

Among the respondents to the poll 54 % of the landlords who intend to renovate during the next twelve months will do so to make their property more attractive, whereas 32 % say that they hope to increase the value of their property, and 36 % say that these works are necessary for maintenance and routine reparations.

When thinking about saving over the long term, 72 % of Quebecers would chose ecological solutions, even if the materials needed for ecological renovation are more expensive.
