The rent increase

The rent increase

The figures that determine the rent increase irremediably year after year.

They never make our happiness because they do not reflect the real adjustment to the expenditures which we have to assume.

It is for this reason that we offer since last year a grid of calculation on our Web site which comprises two sections: the increase which would be granted by the Régie and the ‘reasonable’ increase for you, according to your objectives and requirements of profitability.  This way of doing things allows us to establish our strategy of negotiation in all knowledge of cause.  The tax rates are on the rise in several regions this year:  take time to check the amount with your municipality in order to include the right amount in your calculation.

Evaluate each building individually, and negotiate with each one of your tenants.  In certain cases, direct contact will be preferable; in others, postal sending will be, the whole dependent on each one of your tenants.

Certain owners send the notices of increase at various times in the same building when the situation is more delicate and when one wants to avoid having a group effect.

Many take more and more time to listen to the remarks and requests of the tenants in the process of negotiation.  This process, in addition to supporting the good agreement seems to give excellent results in the final increase.  Often the tenants are ready to pay a reasonable amount for certain works that are important for them.

We are to set up a training course in order to reinforce our aptitudes of sale and negotiation.  If you are interested by this training, you can let us know by email at info@apq.org or by telephoning the office at extension 200 in order to leave us your coordinates.
