Public Review on the Water Temperature in Facilities-based Care and in Private Residences for Elderly People

The Gazette officielle du Québec has published a draft regulation modifying the Building Code and the Safety Code of Quebec. This project envisages the obligation to limit the temperature of water from taps, showers and bathtubs to 43°C in facilities-based care and in private residences for elderly people.

The project also envisages the keeping of a registry on the adjustment of the temperature, as well as on the type of devices of limitation allowed in these facilities and residences.
